| Customer Reviews: Great sound, extremely light for the size. May 28, 2010 H. Ladera (Honolulu, Hawaii) The combo amp sound great and there is enough power for a practice amp and great for a small gig. For the size, the amp is very light and portable.
There is one draw back about this amp. When you want to disconnect a XLR cable from PA output, your cable gets stuck because GK did not design for your finger
to go between the amp and the connector. I always have to use a small screw driver to get the cable off. Otherwise, a great amp! If you want more power, go with
the MB210 or MB212 that has 500w.
Incredible amp May 12, 2010 Bryan Cordell Due to deteriorating vertebrae in my spine ,and recent back surgeries I had to sell my heavy equipment. I got to the point where I couldn't go play anywhere if my son wasn't home to load it, and I am not as young as I used to be. I played this amp in a music store ,actually is was the only one they had ,and a customer was about to leave with it. I have been playing for almost forty years ,and couldn't believe there was that much "horsepower" in a combo this lightweight. The ordering process went smoothly, and it was delivered in a timely fashion. Right out of the box this thing was ready to rumble. I have been procrastinating about installing some new pickups in my old P bass, but after I played through I ordered new pickups the same day. Let's be realistic you can't play Carnegie hall with it, but it holds it's own with some of the big boys. For the price, weight, and power this one is a no brainer. Gallien Krueger has definitely invented a better "mouse trap". They have knocked it out of the park with this amp.
Great amp one slight reservation November 10, 2009 Coleman Vaughan-turner (birmingham, AL) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love this amp it's not expensive has tons of volume etc etc. Played about 4 gigs with it so far and the only prob I have is the fact that sometimes the low lows can totally wash over the rhythm guitar player. >_< A slight annoyance that mainly comes from the fact that it uses a 15" sub. (15's pretty much can do lows and not so much in the higher range so everything has a lot of... well bass) If you have an extra 100 or 200$ I would recommend getting the model with 2 10"s or better yet the one up from that with 2 12"s. Given the wattage and sub size on the other models the dynamic range is a lot better. If you're not trying to go all out get this one you won't be disappointed.
Great amp, has just what I need October 15, 2009 Alan Bruce Mccornack (San Diego, CA USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
With a jack to plug in my MP3 player, this amp is perfect for me to practice by playing along. This is not your wimpy fifteen watt amp, and being able to switch off the tweeter helps me concentrate on the bass line. There is no lack of punch in the 15 inch main driver. Everyone in the house can hear it, and I haven't turned it all the way up yet! Good 4-band equalizer, and inputs for active and passive pickups (plus XLR out) make for a very flexible setup. I couldn't find anything comparable at this price. I am very happy with this amp!
